## Overview

If you're managing multiple LinkedIn accounts or running high-volume posting campaigns through Lempod, you may find yourself needing to manually pause engagements. This article explains when and why you might do this, and previews upcoming features that will automate this process.

## Why Pause Engagements?

There are two main reasons enterprise users pause engagements in Lempod:

### 1. Managing Silver Spend

Silver currency replenishes monthly and expires at month-end. If you're running 80+ posts per day across multiple accounts, you may want to pace your silver consumption to avoid running out mid-month. Manually pausing engagements allows you to control your monthly spend rate.

### 2. Maintaining Natural Engagement Patterns

Posts that all receive identical engagement counts can appear suspicious to LinkedIn's algorithms. By manually varying engagement levels – some posts pausing at 200 likes, others at 500 – you create a more natural engagement distribution. This helps maintain account health and improves post visibility.

## Current Workaround: Manual Pausing

How it works:

* Monitor your posts as they gain engagement in Lempod

* Pause engagements manually once a post reaches your target engagement level

* Resume for the next post with a different target

Limitations:

* Time-consuming when managing 50+ accounts

* Requires constant monitoring

* Easy to miss targets or pause at inconsistent levels

## Upcoming Feature: Engagement Range Targeting

To eliminate manual pausing, Lempod is developing an engagement limit feature that allows you to:

* Set a fixed target: "Stop engagements at exactly 250 likes per post"

* Set a randomized range: "Stop engagements between 200-400 likes per post"

* Apply per post: Control engagement targets individually or by pod/campaign

Status: Currently in the product backlog with ETA pending. This feature is aligned with Lempod's broader automation roadmap.

## What to Do Now

If You're Managing High Volume:

1. Establish a pausing schedule – Set clear targets for each post (e.g., 200 likes, 400 likes, 600 likes in rotation)

2. Monitor silver balance – Check your remaining silver at the start of each week

3. Batch pause operations – Check your posts once daily rather than constantly

Track Your Needs:

* Note how many posts you run daily

* Record typical engagement per post

* Document your silver spend rate

This data will help Lempod right-size the engagement limit feature for your use case when it launches.

## Looking Ahead

Once Lempod releases engagement range targeting, you'll be able to:

* Set post-level engagement targets automatically

* Use randomization to maintain natural patterns

* Eliminate manual pausing entirely

* Scale to 50+ accounts without monitoring overhead

In the meantime, manual pausing is a proven temporary solution used by enterprise users managing large account portfolios.
