Understanding boost cooldowns
At Lempod, we have clear rules in place to keep things fair for everyone. If you’ve deleted a post after boosting it, you might be wondering why you still can’t boost again right away.
🧠 I deleted the post — why do I still need to wait?
Even if you delete a post, the boost you used is still counted. Deleting a post does not reset your boost cooldown. This ensures that the system isn’t misused by repeatedly deleting and reboosting content to get around the rules.
Please refer to our Boost Frequency Limit article for full details on how the cooldown works.
🔁 What counts as a boost?
A boost is registered the moment it’s activated — whether or not the post stays published. So deleting the post after boosting it doesn’t “undo” the boost.
🚫 Repeated early boosting attempts
Trying to boost repeatedly during the cooldown period may result in your account being flagged for abuse. This helps maintain fairness across the entire platform.
✅ What to do instead
-
Wait for the cooldown to finish before boosting again
-
Only boost when your post is ready to stay live
-
Contact support if your post had a legitimate issue that required deletion
